The mission of Charlotte Mecklenburg Black Chamber of Commerce (CMBCC) is to advocate for economic development and business opportunities for the businesses and communities we serve. Through political engagement, education, business promotion, and information resources we facilitate economic empowerment and growth of black owned enterprises.

We are a non-profit organization that is an advocate for African American owned businesses to help increase their overall exposure and associations. The Charlotte Mecklenburg Black Chamber of Commerce (CMBCC) has developed a strong relationship with the Charlotte Regional and other ethnic/international Chambers which provides us with resources, information, and support to help us reach our target market. We will develop and partner with resources to train and educate African American businesses so that they grow to be significant leaders in their fields of expertise.

  • To create a continuous economic foundation that supports to overall well-being of the CMBCC.

  • To assist communities and businesses to become self-sustaining, successful and competitive.

  • To ensure economic conditions are equitable and inclusive of black business and community interests.

  • To provide representation for disparity issues as they relate to the city and county’s economic growth, exposure opportunities.

  • To work with government agencies, private banking and financial institutions to improve access to capital for African American businesses and communities.

  • To develop and sustain relationships with local, county, state officials and major corporations.
