This year, we are excited to showcase Mecklenburg County Assistant Public Defender and Community Advocate, Toussaint Romain, as our keynote speaker. Recognized as Charlotte Magazine's 2016 Charlottean of the Year, Toussaint was featured in national headlines last October, as he joined protesters in the streets, calling for calm while acknowledging the frustration over the police-involved shooting death of Keith Lamont Scott
